How it works
Three stages. One team. No surprises.
From the first walk round the garden to the final sweep-up, here is how a WilsonJones project actually runs — and roughly how long each part takes.

Design & quote
Stephen comes out and walks the garden with you — reading the levels, the access, where the water needs to go, and, just as importantly, how you actually want to use the space. From there we talk through the layout and the materials — porcelain, Indian sandstone, limestone or natural stone for paving; walling, fencing, decking and planting to tie it all together — and put a clear, no-obligation quote to it. No pressure, just an honest picture of what your garden could become.

Groundwork & build
We handle the excavation, sub-bases, drainage and levels ourselves before a single slab is laid — the part you never see, and the part that decides whether the finished garden holds true. Then one team carries the whole build: paving and patios, retaining walls, fencing and walling, decking and timber structures, turf and planting. Same faces from start to finish, everything set to industry standards, and the site kept orderly the whole way through.

Clean finish & handover
Edges cut clean, joints filled, the site swept and cleared. We walk the finished garden with you, point out anything worth knowing, and leave you with simple aftercare advice so it looks its best for years. We're a local Cheshire firm, easy to find and easy to reach — so if you ever want us back for the next phase, you know where we are.

Why the base matters most
A patio or terrace is laid once and then takes years of weather. Whether it holds true comes down to the groundwork underneath — which is exactly why we dig and set it ourselves, and never rush it.
